Your wish for Seven Transformation Pack 4.0 - make it here

It's about one week left for the release of Seven Transformation Pack 4.0. Right now the product itself is finished besides ViStart and ViGlance that need some works to be done if possible. If there's anything you wish for besides above projects, make a note here and I'll try to work on it if possible.

@Lucifiar: What I mean is the "loading" screen of where you would see the text "Starting Windows".

The picture I made shows you what I mean and as I said to make the changes suggested.

Having the Windows 7 Flare Flag with the loading screen that says "Starting Windows". The screen where is shows that Windows is loading before the 'log on' screen is presented. ;)

My suggestion here:

You should try to fix up the super bar in Transformation pack 3.0. The start button sometimes disapears and i have to go to properties and fix it.

Taskbar Buttons
Reply #31 on : Wed November 25, 2009, 10:05:07
Nice stuff overall. I really like the visual style.
Still, here's an inconvenience I have: I'm not a big fan of ViGlance because, well, it does what it's supposed to... and I don't want to have the taskbar buttons grouped. So, if I disable it I have the option of keeping them separated, but the problem is the icons get small and quite far from the left (chack the img to see what I mean).
So, if there's a way to adjust this, I'd really appreciate it, by fixing either ViGlance or the Visual Style itself.

One more thing to thanks this Thanksgiving
Reply #30 on : Wed November 25, 2009, 06:16:39
I will have to thanks one more thing this Thurday
thanks @Lucifiar
My Dream came true Viglance updated before 7tp v.4 release, SO I guess this will be included???
Thanks for your solution lucifiar. I will try "Startup Faster"
http://www.ursoftware.com/product/startupfaster/
when I find the medicine for it.
In the mean TIME, my Wish is to have again the option in 7TP to use the third party apps "Lclock.exe" and "styler.exe" I prefer this to "Seven clock" and "ViSplore" but that is just my personal opinion/wish. I don't need more Themes (like Black SevenVG RTM) as I can add it my way.
note: this is the question Lucifar answer me with a solution
(I have a big BIG B I G request for you, I think the new feature in 7TP "vlaunch.exe" it is awesome, more over because WinXP have no good solution to do something like "vlaunch.exe" (almost because I don't know how to program "vbs runtime" or what ever you use to program "vlaunch.exe". and we can only control what is launch by "vlaunch.exe" in the 7TP option. So my request is because I still use from VTP the "Lclock.exe" and the "Styler.exe" which it will awesome ifyou can add some option or something to also control the start up of this Third software to make 7TP more personal.
Many Many Many thanks in advance)

Best Regards JC.WILCOX

You can actually find free Window FX
Reply #26 on : Wed November 25, 2009, 02:01:58
Well I got my WindowFX for free from somewhere. Its totally free with all the features and works great. I can't remember where I got it but i'm sure you can find it on YouTube or on Google: just search Free WindowFX. I just think this program will please alot of 7TP users :) Oh and the Windows 7 Explorer would be better than ViSplore. http://www.techlivez.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/windows7-explorer.png

Ranger 1337, WindowFX isn't free so impossible anyway. For hovering, it's not possible for XP right now. Next version will have TrueTranspanrecy with blur feature.
Badman1315, of course it can. ;)
saura, those features are available in TrueTransparency which next version should be stable enough to pull out with personalization.
alkooheji and cobthecobbler, As I hope to see that in ViGlance but I don't think we'll be seeing that soon.
stucked_with_xp, ViStart should work better by now. Vista drive icon can't be process though. 7TP upgrade function can perform by running installation over old ones as seemless upgrade feature. I hope you would spare me for minor icons update.
Samurai_Mo, new programs bug caused by explorer behind ViStart trying to notify new app installed. It can be solved after some actions or reboot. Black theme is interesting but I don't think I can prepare them for XP/Vista/WB in 3 days. Maybe next time.
Randydorney, I don't understand about "Start Windows" thingy and I don't plan for adding additional basic theme since it doesn't look cool when ppl use ViStart and TrueTranspanrecy in next version :D
satyanreddy007, you can use Vista theme or some small taskbar modded theme version of Windows 7.
lichking21st, maybe some new themes in next release or individual releases but bundling whole bunch of themes and animated backgrounds will make package becoming too large to fit in.
cashman2009, I tried making weather gadget auto-configured with regional settings but didn't work for now. I'll add weather gadget when I can come up with solution for this.
smuglar, the best solution I can think of right now is deferred startup which is already done in 3.0. I hope you can feel the improvement during startup with this trick.

Keep'em coming. Though not all wish can be granted. However, if you don't wish at all, it definately won't be granted ;)

I understand that the gadgets that make up windows 7 trans pack are from independent people but wont intergrating them make it easier for the processors. Rather than having many processes run at the same time and at one point one of them fails...???? Just think abou it...

Reply #21 on : Mon November 23, 2009, 09:07:40
i'd like to see the rain meter to have your local weather on it just like the rain meter versions on Vista. i can't seem to eject a flash drive because of the vista icons for some reason on my XP machine. sometimes that icon by the clock for usb devices doesn't show up and sometimes it does. i checked my properties and it showed that it hides if its inactive.

You can use this app for XP and Vista:

Show Desktop app for your computer which does the same way as in Windows 7. Works great with the theme in the transformation pack.

You can download the current version here:

Windows 7 apps for XP and Vista users
Reply #16 on : Sun November 22, 2009, 20:58:13
These's aren't ports but real apps the people have created for xp and vista users.

Below are links to the following apps:

(Aero Shake)

http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/gawker/2008/11/Aero_Shake_1.3.exe

(Aero Snap)

http://aerosnap.de/download/aerosnap/current_version/aerosnap_0_61_setup.exe

(Aero Peek)

http://fogelsoft.extra.hu/progs/aeropeek.zip

**General warning: Always make a system restore your computer before installing these apps on the safe side. Some are in beta mode and still updating and tweaking the apps to be more stable but they work fine on both XP and Vista systems. ENJOY! :D

Fix the "Start Windows" since the flag should be there and not like the way you have it as suppose to reflect like Vista.

Don't forget to add the basic theme like Windows 7 have for xp (the gray superbar area). To make it more complete like Win7. :D

Some how when I apply the features in configure settings or update for when things are out of sycn, the windows center crashes and doesn't apply the settings at all. >:( It needs to be more stable.

That's my suggestions :D

A lot of changes needed!
Reply #12 on : Sun November 22, 2009, 13:29:13
OH, JUST MAKE IT MORE STABLE! I HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS WITH VER. 3!

1. SOME OF THE ICONS IN VER. 3 ARE PIXELATED! CORRECT THAT!
2. EVERY TIME I TRY TO CHANGE THEME OR RUN VISTART, OR ANY VI'S I GET WINDOWS ERROR: ''...EXPLORER.EXE MUST BE CLOSED.'' YOU KNOW WHAT'S COMING AFTER THAT. CORRECT THAT!
3. AND OTHER TINY PROBLEMS... CORRECT THAT!

IT NEEDS SOME DETAILS TO COMPLETELY (WELL, NOT SO, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE)SEVENLIZE WIN. XP. IMPROVE NEXT:

1. VISTA DRIVE ICON AS PROCESS!
2. ''SHOW DESKTOP'' BUTTON AT THE END OF TASKBAR!
3. ''SECURITY CENTER'' AND ''INTERNET OPTIONS'' ICONS ARE STILL THE SAME!
4. MAKE IT UPGRADEABLE, I CAN'T UNINSTALL AND INSTALL WHENEVER THE NEW VERSION IT'S AVAILABLE!
5. AND I COULD CONTINUE WRITING, BUT I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH FOR VER. 4

Best wishes! stuckedwithxp

But it doesnt really matter. Oh and i tried Windows 7 at my friends place and found out that on the taskbar, only the current window that youre looking at is boxed while the others are not. WindowFX isn't free and it requires graphic acceleration and it doesn't perform smooth and stable enough for most legacy machines. Logon sound is fixed in 4.0.

Closing and Opening Fading Effect for Windows
Reply #3 on : Sun November 22, 2009, 04:35:44
I found this rather useful program called WindowFX, where you can apply settings so when you for example close windows they would shrink and fade to desktop, the same with the opening of windows. Oh and I have this bug where I cant hear a logon sound when I boot my computer. Hope it gets fixed! :D and yeah since Windows 7 has come out, I hope that you can be at your maximum potential. I know you can do better :) Cheers!
