It's been a long time since last formidable release of Seven Transformation Pack. There isn't much we can do but wait patiently for something better to inspire us to work harder and do better. Completely Reworked Windows XP UI
I spent a great amount of time rebuilding Windows XP visual style to fit in XP fashion with Windows 8/Aero Lite/Metro altogether. It's my masterpiece and probably be the last theme I'll ever make for Windows XP. I named it "Metro Inspirat". Most UI elements are updated to Metro ones with Windows 8 Aero Lite resources. It's simple and yet elegant that can make old XP meets today's standards without help of Aero. I also rebuild themes for ViStart and TrueTransparency too. They look a lot better than before.

Windows 8 features
As name suggested Windows 8 Transformation Pack now comes with Windows 8 new features such as Metro Desktop, Auto colorization and User Tile on taskbar. I also configured program to set user tile image matching to current user picture and optimize default tiles in Metro desktop for 1024x768 resolution. These features require .NET Framework 4.0 to be installed so if you're using Windows XP, make sure you have it installed first.

One click does it all
Say goodbye to lenghy dialogs of information and configuration. After years of long development since Longhorn Transformation Pack. I finally came to realization of what really matters with user interactions. All you need to do is simply running the program and choose features you want and install in one dialog. If you want to change something back later, you can just run the same program again and change anything you want without trouble. Welcome Center is no longer needed with this method.

Amazing performance and flexibility for features customization
Back then people need to wait for 10-30 minutes to complete whole installation and having hard time customizing features later. Now we solve them all with simpler ways to use it. You can choose to enable or disable system files transformation at anytime you want. Program will keep resources and backup files ready to switch back and forth. Whole process can be done from 2 to 5 minutes at most. It's superb faster and more reliable with UAC friendly optimized so no more problems with system files and uninstall.

Actually, there're lots more to brag from backend side but it doesn't matter. As long as you guys can enjoy this at ease, that should be OK. I guess I finally can lay down for a while enjoying my birthday today and then I can start thinking about what to do with Lion Transformation Pack later after this. It should be easier and faster after finishing this ones so I hope I can release it soon.

Update: 26/08/2011

I've just upload a proper build to fix following the issues.

1. System files transformation failure in non-English OS (hexpatcher dialog stuff and improper/none changes in system resources).
2. Errors related to sound files in Windows\Media for Windows Vista (Though it worked fine in testing Vista Home Premium x86/x64 but I've refined for better method).

If you don't have any problems with stated fixes, you don't need to reinstall it. But regardless of your result, I suggest to keep this updated build in hand just in case.

It seems Lee did report Softpedia team. He talked to me last week about asking to remove ViStart and ViGlance. Version 2.0 will be released in next few days without them so please relax and wait for better things to come.

I could not get the usertile to show up even with .NET 3.5 and 4 installed properly on my XP SP3 machine, and also when running Metro it crashed sometimes

newgen problem

why when my comp. starts it shows viglance then newgen but then viglance and newgen software gets stuck and taskbar disappears and then newgen says "an error occured.Do you want to report it to newgen team" i press yes and nothing happens please help

this a great piece of work but i just installed it and well i was disappointed because the taskbar didn't show what was i opening when i open firefox it doesnt show its icon on the taskbar and when i minimize i cant find it anymore i have to shut down now my comp. is breaking!? please help?

Please any one tell me how to permanently disable ViGlance and newgen at startup from this transformation pack coz they both act retard and xp doesnt work properly (newgen sends xp in an infinite loop, n ViGlance hides minimised apps to unknown place :( ).

@rounak_27 Try installing Windows 8 UX Pack 3.0 and then uninstall before running again.
@II Nike II There shouldn't be file like airplane there though. Anyway, Try in safemode if it doesn't work in normal mode. I'll try to revise proper method before 2.0
@xmohitx You can but not for stuff that requires .NET Framework 4.0
@vpcamitan Read caption text. It should say why. If you already have Windows 8 UX Pack installed, uninstall it first.
@JohnWall11UK You probably get the old file which is little buggy upon release. Try re-downloading again to get fixed file.

Airplane.bmp Could Not Be Opened.

I put in all my options and hit install but a window comes up that says file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures\airplane.bmp could not be opened. I went to that url and found the airplane picture. What's going on?

on initializing the setup it says
Different UX pack product name "Windows 8 UX pack" detected. Please uninstall that product first.
But i installed it long back and also uninstalled. Since then i have run AVG PC tuneup and Tune up Utilities several times. Can some one help me to find that pack and uninstall it. thanks

W8TP is a cool product but one thing is freaking annoying about it.every time i (re)boot the homepage is set to this site.kindly remove that as it acts like a hijak.I decide WHAT is MY homepage instead of some piece of script changing my homepage without even asking me if it is allowed to be changed.change the script so it changes the home page ONE TIME ONLY on installing W8TP.
for the rest keep up the good work.

Newgen is still in early development stage. You may update it to the latest version and see if your problem is fixed. Get the latest Newgen here: http://newgen.codeplex.com/releases

This is a good program and I love it! Although, it is very buggy. It keeps saying, when I click on 'People' in the mosaic, it says: 'An error occurred. Do you want to report it to Newgen Team?' and it happens alot too :( Also, I can't remove or edit some of the pannels such as: people, videos, or desktop. But overall, it is a brillient peice of software, just a bit buggy at times! :D Thanks again.

Love your work. Been using the 7TP for a couple of years now...I was stoked to have logged onto Win X Live the day that 8TP launched. I wasn't even aware it existed. I love earth!

I am having some issues, though. I have a vista machine and the trans. pack comes with ViGlance 1275, which causes my computer to freeze as it starts utilizing more memory than everything else operating combined and I have to restart. I was able to install v.1192 with a .reg fix and .vbs file, but now I don't have the super bar tiles for the open apps and they are stacking on top of each other. My personalization screens also show up as not being able to load content. There were also no themes available in the pack that I can tell. It looks great and I am super stoked, I just want to it to work the best it can. Thank you for your amazing products and in advance for your assistance. Take care.

Now I've fixed non-English OS issues properly. The first fix didn't work for Windows Vista/7. Now it works fine.

Incorrect installation on WinXP

I have clean virtual winXP SP3 and installation process isn't clear. HexPatcher window's appear and i need to press OK 64 time to passing by. After reboot desktop theme isn't displayed right and all names in Start menu is in english instead of russian. Later i'll checj pack on Win7 64 at home.
