In the work that was done on Windows 7, many were the foundations of the system. Microsoft has also pours on the subject by talking about numbers of micro-benchmarks to monitor the behavior of subsystems according to the activity level of the machine. Recently, during the TechEd conference, it was learned that the publisher had worked with Intel to better support Hyper-Threading Technology. The latter was created by Intel for the same heart, in a processor, can handle light two processes (or sub-processes, threads in English) at the same time. Introduced with the Pentium IV, he had then disappeared before reappearing in the Atom processor and, more recently, the Core i7. This is Bill Veghte, vice president of Windows development, who announced this at the TechEd optimization. Although this work can best exploit the technology and so to bring out better performance (at least in most cases), it is necessary as well as the applications have been designed to exploit multiple processing units. It is reasonable to believe that a NETBOOK with an atom and with one heart of enforcement has increased significantly more efficient than Core i7 already with 4 hearts.
