After releasing the long awaited version 1.0.0 of VLC, three weeks or less and the problems have been reported to the developers. A version 1.0.1 was therefore able to correct many of them.

The main change in VLC 1.0.1

  • Search the FLV and MPEG2 files
  • Corrections in the file support WMV, WAV, RTSP and SSA
  • Corrections for Qt interface and Mac OS X
  • Fixed a security hole in the pseudo-module RTSP Real
  • Translation updates
  • Portage ZVBI module for a full Windows Teletext
  • Updates codecs in Windows and Mac OS X
