scrnrdr.exe
Reply #164 on : Sat March 28, 2009, 04:12:20
i got a stupid idea can solve the problem of "scrnrdr.exe" be deleted by anti-virus software.

before u install the vtp, stop the anti-virus software in windows taskmgr or like the other people said, in a safe-mode.

but after u re-start the windows, the scrnrdr.exe will be erased again by anti-virus again, then u will see a message-box that can't find "c:\windows\system32\scrnrdr.exe"

my idea can solve the problem but can't un-install the sofeware, that is copy all files under the "vista rainbar" to "system32", then copy the "rainbar" and rename it to "scrnrdr", then the error massage,"c:\windows\system32\scrnrdr.exe", won't be happened again, and u can see the rainbar be opened each time u start the windows, and never be erased by anti-virus over and over again.

VTP 9.0.1 update
Reply #160 on : Sun March 15, 2009, 10:10:33
Just changed from VTP 8 (uninstalled VTP 8 first) to VTP 9.0.1 and it really looks great. Nice job guys! It is only one small point that make me confused. In the very first start sequence I have the animated bar that shows the loading in progress and the Microsoft name. But there is no logo like before in VTP 8 with Windows Vista at the screen? Is this a fault and how do I fix it?

If you take a look at that Lite pack, it changes some icon files to change how to way cards look in the Microsoft games. You might want to add that to complete the vista feel.

Although I've got Vista two years ago and changed to Windows 7 I must say, that VTP is still good work. I remember back to Longhorn Transformation Pack 7. It was good but not as realistic as VTP. You might think that you've got a real Vista

ViOrb slows down computer..
Reply #133 on : Wed January 28, 2009, 07:27:35
I got the Vista Start Orb on my Windows XP (no not the one you see when you start up your computer, i mean the one that looks like ViOrb)
using no application to emulate the Vista start orb.

This is how i did it ( It's easy mode xD ):

ViOrb slows down my computer by using about 50% of my processor..

I don't know how to fix it although i found a.. well maybe.. a work around..

It doesn't take so much processor OR RAM.
raither 0% of the processor and less ram than the ViOrb uses..

It was a pritty simple process because all i did was taking my background as i got then just adding the taskbar to the picture, afterwards i added the missing texture on top of the orb..

then used the new picture as background giving me the ultimate orb that uses very VERY low amount of the processor and also a very low amount of RAM. or VRAM or what the background normally uses.
Using Glass2k gives the taskbar the transparent look. when glass2k was up running i just pressed ctrl+alt+6.. then i saw that the taskbar that was on the picture (that i made) was not completely good.
Fixed it by exchanging that taskbar with the transparent one. This simple thing made it possible to have the ViOrb that doesn't go behind the taskbar when pressing up the ViStart or Taskmanager or that problem when Explorer.exe crashed.

This process took about 2 hours (editing the picture so it would be good enough for me)

Following programs were used for editing:
Mspaint (Making the picture)
Gimp (making better graphics for the picture)

i cant see why you ppl are reinventing the wheel. i mean, why use this crap. use vista. better yet, invent something more useful. not some lame ass piece of shit. vista's much more stable. this one's buggy. and yeah. forget about windows. go linux. man you dumb ass freaks of nature suck.. all of you. and change the look of your site. it looks awful. specially your logo. sucks to the core.
