Windows 8 Transformation/UX Pack 9.1 Released – Back to authentic style

Windows 8 Transformation Pack 9.1

After releasing 9.0, I realized shortly after releasing that I haven’t done any theme updates. I also received feedback about missing the authentic elements in new updates so .I decided to make another update focusing on authentic UI. Improved Modern/Metro themes looks even better with glass transparency and Windows XP now comes with authentic port and iconized taskbar button.

Windows 8 Transformation/UX Pack 9.0 Released – Last stretch before Windows 9

Windows 8 Transformation Pack 9.0

Windows 8 Transformation/UX Pack 8.1 Released – Black screen fixes and new Windows 7 themes rock

Windows 8 Transformation Pack 8.1

UPDATE #3: Corrupted file causing I/O error during install fixed after UPDATE #2.
UPDATE #2: takeown.exe error on x86 OS fixed and added LiveTuner promotion.
UPDATE #1: Font installation bug is fixed. Please download and reinstall if failed.

Since black screen’s root cause and solution is identified, this month’s mission is to release all related projects with black screen fixes applied. But releasing with just black screen fixes is kind of boring so I’ll include some other updates as well. For Windows 8 Transformation/UX Pack, I fixed some reported bugs with new Windows 7 themes. It looks really great on my laptop and highly customizable for Modern/Metro/Glass UI. I wonder why not much of people found this gem.

OS X Mavericks UX Patcher released to solve Windows 8 and font problems

Sorry for late release as it took quite a while to figure out what really happened and solve it thoroughly. It appears Windows 8 has system files protection in almost everywhere related to system so Branding no longer works as Windows activation uses it. New Internet Explorer updates broke iexplore.exe so I have to remove it along with ieframe.dll file. Facebook font problem is not solved by substituting ‘Lucida Grande’ with ‘Lucida Sans’. Not sure if this is the most optimal for everyone so report if it’s still not good enough so I can change it in upcoming 2.0 release.
