Seven Transformation Pack - Meets the ultimate transformation pack

I've been thinking about Windows 7 transformation pack since pre-betas. However, I've been observing Windows 7 since pre-beta builds. I must admit that it didn't interest me that much for slightly UI changes and very few icons update. If I rush for first released packs, it'll be spammed with insignificant changes from real OS plus bloated stuff from prototype screenshots and become obsolete in no time. After waiting patiently for months, this moment is when it should exist.

Seven Transformation Pack Keynotes:

ViGlance - Windows 7's Superbar emulation

Improved 3rd-party applications
ViStart - build recompile in native mode increasing its performance with Windows 7 skin
TrueTransparency - Improved stability with version 1.0 plus SevenStyle's skin

Functionalities update
Automatic theme applying - Setup now applies themes automatically without user's interaction after restart
Multi-user Login UI support - Allowing to see user accounts in horizontal view with multiline support
Setup personization - Allowed ViSplore and WinFlip and support load/save configuration

I downloaded it and all it changes is the taskbar and start menu does it do something else.

Hi,
I got follwing problem (windows message) by trying to install Transformation Pack: The file: C:\Windows\scrnrdr.exe could not opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory. Access denied.

Can anyone help me? I really would like to try it, but...

by the way this is an awesome emulator. mine works fine. my win flip gets hung up sometimes and when i do certain things in full screen ie videos and games, it backs me out or gives me the windows explorer error. other than this its great. i would have liked to have seen a way to get extra gadgets/widgets and customizable themes. lets just wait and see what v2.0 brings our way. good job guys

WOW ! This is pretty cool... am really impressed with the attention to detail, after having been using the beta version of Win7 for a few months now. Have uninstalled Win7 and am only using XP & the Transformation Pack on my 4 PC's including my work one, and it looks great on all. It has even given my very old Compaq Laptop (PIII 700MHz) a facelift. I have installed /customised it for the old laptop as simple as possible, and as I use the old Laptop as an internet radio only it works - and looks a treat. Looking forward to installing V2 when it's available. You have made an awesome little product here. Love it. 10 out 10 : )

2.0 is in testing phase and expected to be released in next few days if anything goes smoothly.

I Can't click on the start meny, the icon just lights up but i can't click it.
It's been hard to click it before (I had to click at least 2 times with a one second space between them).
But today i can't click at all :(

You made it a new transformation pack for windows xp. but i dont need this transformation pack. windows released his windows 7 beta version and that version is realy fast. faster than xp or this transformation pack. so i just installed the beta version. in june there's coming another trail version of windows 7.

But you made a great work for all xp users.

I have to say I'm really impressed. Seems a lot cleaner than the old Vista Transformation Packs, and more user friendly Thanks!
On the other side, a few glitches with the ViGlance taskbar, it doesn't seem to like msn, it makes the icon orange constantly but appart from that all good. And oh, the ViSplore sometimes doent load up =\ don't know why but hey im sure all this will be sorted out in the next release. Thanks alot guys, keep up the good work!

not too much difference with this and the vista pack few changes few third party apps work alot better i dont like how big the bottom tool bar is but i like it its pretty light wieght doesnt slow my computer down nor crash as much as the vtp did! 8 outa 10

While installing the STP on a clean Win XP Pro SP3 OS, it suddenly stops with: "Error signature, AppName: viwc.exe AppVer: 8.8.1.0 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5755 Offset: 0000108d
I tried to repair and re-install but it doesn't matter, this bump is too high to oververcome unfortunately! Someone has a tip to skip this part or maybe shut something down so the installation continues? Thanks! Keep up the good work!

You can do that by setting it in WinFlip's option dialog. I will cosider this in next version for easier access though.

Thanks Coolbuster.

I'll test that out now, I first thought it was the super bar emulator causing the problem.

However, even with just the Vista icons installed and nothing else, there is still noticable interference with games:

When playing Fallout 3 and the Hawx demo, My LAN icons keep on flicking on and off when I'm playing fullscreen in the game, which is pretty annoying.

The pack is still awesome though, especially for a first release. Just pointing out bugs that can hopefully be fixed in future releases. :)

@Samwise I think it's not 7TP which caused the crash. It's the Rainbar. Disable it when playing pc games.

I downloaded the pack and loved it however, whenever I tried opening Fallout 3 the game would crash. I decided to uninstall the pack and Fallout 3 worked perfectly afterwards. But now I can't open My Computer, My documents, My control panel and My network places. When I double click on the icons it just doesn't load. However, everything else works and I can still search for all my files etc. And when I re-install the Windows 7 pack I am able to access Windows explorer so I know for sure that it has something to do with this. Please help.

It may crash on startup sometimes but quite a rare case. Anyway, I expect to either release version 2.0 on July or 1.0 on May.
