The Mozilla Foundation has announced on Wednesday. Through its campaign Download Day, she managed to get a place in the Guinness Book of Records by establishing - and ushering at the same time - a new record for the largest number of downloads of software in 24 hours thanks to Firefox. Mozilla Firefox 3.0 has been downloaded 8 002 530 times. Gareth Deaves, head of Guinness records: "as an arbiter of facts and Clerk world's most incredible, the Guinness Book of Records has the honor to add the Mozilla exploit its archives. Mobilizing more 8 million people in 24 hours is an incredible feat and we wish to congratulate the Mozilla community for his dedication and hard work."
