Microsoft Unveils Speed Launch for Windows

Microsoft has launched a new program resulting from its research department: Microsoft Office Labs, Speed Launch. As its name indicates, Speed Launch is a small program that should allow the user to accelerate the launch of applications.

To do so, Speed Launch takes the form of a small bar accessible from your desktop, something similar to Windows Vista sidebar. Speed Launch is always visible on top of every opened window so ou can very easy find him and use whenever you need some of application you added within his toolbar. The user can integrate in shortcuts to applications by simple drag and drop. Compatible with Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista (with .Net Framework), Speed Launch also offers a search field to find an application installed on your system by simply typing the beginning of its name, much as Spotlight for Mac OS X.

To lunch a shortcuts simply click on Speed Launch icon and choose “Lunch Shortcut”; you can also use keyboard shortcuts Windows+C. To add your favorite or most frequent shortcut you use again click on Speed Launch icon and choose Add Shortcuts…. After that new window will open offering you to choose which shortcuts you want to add. First Type you shortcut name, click on Browse button to find its location and add it. After that your shortcut will show up in list below enabling you to remove it or simply to see which shortcuts you have added.

Eating 40 MB of RAM is very prodigally

Yes, it looks quite pleasant but it was written very ugly because of eating 40 MB of memory
