The Redmond company since November 2006 offers a compatibility pack Microsoft Office 2007. This backward compatibility pack to open, edit and save documents, workbooks, and presentations in the file formats Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint 2007 and since that Office 2000, Office XP or Office 2003.
Wednesday, Microsoft posted a fourth version of this pack. This update is not completely foreign to the case between the U.S. software giant in the Canadian publisher i4i. Thus, the update package that does not make it impossible to read files with the .Docx or .Docm with Word 2003, but if they contain elements of type Custom XML, these tags will be removed in the opening Word 2003.
