Via one of its official blog, Google announced the availability of a new version of its browser Chrome stable version (16.0.912.77) for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Chrome Frame plugin. This is the second security update this month deployed.

A total of five patches were made, including four correcting bugs high priority and a particularly critical. The latter was already fixed earlier this month but has not been deployed in the stable version of Chrome. This was a problem with the security device embedded within the browser blocking access to sites deemed fraudulent or potentially dangerous by Google. A refresh of the page blocked by the warning resulted in a crash of the software.

The researcher Shamal Silva had reported the bug in December and received $ 3133 dollars. The Mountain View company has already spent over 8000 dollars this year for the correction of these bugs and no less than 180,000 dollars last year. For those who use Mozilla Firefox you should read this guide and learn how to surf safer with Mozilla Firefox.
