After announcement of codename "Visplore" project, Lee has been working on alpha builds to make this project become more feasible to show off. You may wonder why choosing to develop own Explorer program instead of Vista toolbar, right? The reason is because there is no such technology to make such full glass border in Windows Explorer. The best possibility so far is WindowBlinds' frame border but it still doesn't support vistalizing toolbar. But Visplore can...
As you can see, now Visplore has reached usable stage. You can browse files normally like Windows Explorer inside Visplore's glass border. Toolbar has aero glass border giving more glass experiences like no others. It may appears to be simple file browser software for now but it can be enhanced like what you see in ViStart. It's just getting started...
Right now visplore's development is focused on breadcrumb bar implementation. You can click on arrow behind each folder to see folder list on right of the arrow. It's not done yet, though but soon Lee will report its progress so keep tracking ;)

I downloaded vtp9 and the first thing i did was use visplore and when i did there was no border or buttons what so ever it may just be my comp but if you dont mind fixing this i would be amazingly happy. until then im stuck with win explorer... joy.

personally i think this project will be best when all the VTP features are included un-bugged and updated, but i don't mind downloading them one by one instead of in a VTP.
That's pretty cool looking.. cant wait till a release is made and give it a try.
I have a smallish request that I'd love to see implemented into this (preferably with a on/off option): Tab Bar
Currently I use QTTabBar + QTAddress bar + Styler to achieve my Vista look (http://tinyurl.com/twizexplorer) but using the above with ViStart causes explorer to crash.
I am assuming that the programs clash with one another causing the problem. And if the Lee of this project is the Lee of Lee-Soft maker of ViStart, I would guess that any incompatibilities could/would be worked out.
wow this is great Reply #5 on : Sat July 12, 2008, 14:02:27
wow this is awesome but a good idea would be to make it over write explorer making a back up so that it doesn't freeze if you have a window open whilst its loading like vistart did when you have the start menu open when loading oh and also try and get it so it makes a box over icons when oyu roll over them like in vista
Not available yet for VTP9 build Reply #2 on : Thu July 10, 2008, 16:44:07
Visplore is expected to have default shell browser from explorer for VTP9 version. An independent file browser with unique features may be implemented after VTP9.
Just a thought Reply #1 on : Thu July 10, 2008, 13:28:01
Can you guys try and put a media preview into the visplore project. An example, you have a mp3 song and can just push the button "P" and it will play through the explorer. Another thought will there be 3d viewing of Pics in the program?
