Apple today launched the sale of films in high definition on the iTunes Store U.S. Feature films and series join the ranks of TV content available for purchase in high definition. They are sold $ 20 and are available for rent, $ 5 for 30 days and then they leave for 4 dollars then. Although it is only high-definition 720p, not 1080p, it is easier to understand why Apple, focusing on dematerialisation, does not offer readers Blu-ray on his latest machine, perfectly equipped to decode it. The films are protected by digital lock and are readable with iTunes on Macs and PCs and on Apple TV. Accompanied by file standard definition iPod and iPhone, they weigh about 4 GB. Movies Twilight and Quantum of Solace are already pre-order and will be available respectively on 21 and 24 March. They join several other films with the catalog of 40 000 episodes of TV series and 5 000 feature films, of which 1 200 are reserved for rent in high definition.
